Enjoy walking beautiful and peaceful Hiroshima together
I was born and raised in Matuse, Shimane Pref. I came to Hiroshima after I graduated from high school. I have lived here for more than 30 years. I and my husband are running a small sewing factory. I had a chance to listen to the Atomic bomb survivor’s story ten years ago. That’s how I became a volunteer guide in the Peace Memorial Park. While I was giving a guided tour to tourists, I started to think that I wanted to show them other wonderful places, too. Other than the Peace Memorial Park, I recommend places near the city center where you can feel nature such as Mt. Futaba or Mt. Mitaki. You can enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the mountain. I would like you to see the present beautiful city, where it was once said that nothing would grow for the next 75 years after the A-bombing.
