Lets enjoy the local atmosphere at Shimanami islands Hiroshima together!
I'm originally from Kurashiki in Okayama prefecture. Starting with a trip to Australia when I was in college, I have traveled to many different countries including England, Ireland, Turkey, Romania, and Hong Kong. I moved to Hiroshima for work 20 years ago and I'm now working for a logistics company. I hope I can help people learn about the diverse and fascinating prefecture of Hiroshima.
I think cycling is the best way to explore Hiroshima. There are many different kinds of rental bikes available, including electric-assist ""e-bikes"" for those who would prefer a less strenuous cycling experience. The world-class Shimanami Kaido Cycling Road offers not only a great riding experience, but there are also many other activities to enjoy on each of the islands it crosses like fruit picking, pottery making, and art tours. You can also try many delicious local foods like Hiroshima-style ""okonomiyaki"" (savory Japanese pancakes), ""shiru-nashi tantanmen"" (spicy soup-less noodles), oysters, and sake.
Let me show you around Hiroshima, a place that offers new charms and discoveries no matter how many times you visit!
