I was born and raised in Hiroshima. A house husband now. I grew up in Hiroshima until high school and left there after entering university, but returned to Hiroshima in 1985 and worked as an engineer at a local car company for 34 years. During that time, I worked in the R & D department in Michigan, USA for seven years. From that experience, I realized the difference in culture and customs between Japan and other countries. It was very exciting and enjoyable. After returning to Japan, I looked for an opportunity to communicate with non-Japanese tourists and contribute to society by using my language skills. So, I decided to volunteer at the Peace Museum and the Peace Park as a guide for visitors in 2004. Visitors are satisfied with my tour because it’s flexible to their requests and they get detailed information which they need. I’m going to expand my areas of activity and offer tours more widely.
