Your guide to local color and culture in Hiroshima City
Born in Kure, I currently live in Hiroshima City. Growing up, I loved books, and majored in English literature at the English language and literature department of my university and at the graduate level. I began working as a radio personality at a local Hiroshima radio station while at the same time beginning my career as an editor and writer. At present, I work out of Hiroshima and spend my days planning, editing, taking photos, conducting interviews, and writing. While working to promote tourism in Hiroshima Prefecture, I found that I wanted international tourists in particular to get to know more of Hiroshima. This idea was the spark that fueled my enthusiasm for local tourism, and I’d love to show you around the Eki-Nishi area (the area to the west of Hiroshima Station) which is a retro-modern alley full of great places to eat and drink. Come with me as we explore the all the charm, personality, and local culture that Eki-Nishi has to offer!
